Anderson Park Anderson Park on Anderson Point Dr. is a beatific park that really shows off North Carolina´s natural beauty. Mordecai Historic Park is located in downtown Raleigh on Mimosa and Wake Forest Streets. In this park you will find many buildings that speak to Raleigh´s history. The birthplace of President Andrew Johnson and the Mordecai Mansion plantation home. See what life in Raleigh was like from Colonial times to the Civil war to today. We´ve come a long way. There are plenty of opportunities for canoeing and rafting down the river. The Neuse River Canoe Trail has five canoe launches along the Neuse River. The first is the Falls Dam Access which you can find on Falls of the Neuse Road. Off of Elizabeth Drive is the Buffaloe Road Access. The third point can be found off of Old Milburnie Road at Milburnie Dam. On the 16th mile mark is Anderson Point Access on Rogers Lane. Finally, the Poole Road access is located on Poole Road.
